Tahilia Rebello is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medical Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She also serves as the Vice President of Science and Research for the workplace mental health initiatives at One Mind, a leading brain health nonprofit. Dr. Rebello is trained as a neuroscientist and received her PhD from Columbia University, where her research focused on the long-term impact of early-life stress and trauma. She previously served as the Research Program Manager of the WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Capacity Building for Global Mental Health and as a Consultant to WHO’s Department of Mental Health and Substance Use from 2013 to 2018. For over a decade, Dr. Rebello managed a systematic research program to test and strengthen the reliability, clinical utility, and global applicability of WHO’s ICD-11 classification of mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She developed and implemented data collection infrastructure, protocols, and training for field studies in 14 countries, expanded WHO’s Global Clinical Practice Network, and supported the creation of an online training program for global clinicians to integrate ICD-11 into clinical practice worldwide. Dr. Rebello currently serves as a member of the International Science Committee Youth Mental Health Project Expert Advisory Team and on the Research and Public Health Council Advisory Board for Fountain House.
