Soobin Jo

Soobin Jo (she/her/hers) is a second-year student at Teachers College, specializing in Mental Health Counseling. In 2023, she participated in Dr. Kathleen Pike’s Global Practica project on Mental Health at the Workplace. In this role, Soobin reviewed existing literature on workplace mental health, categorizing articles using the Mental Health Work Index, which outlines the elements of an effective mental health program in the workplace. She also collaborated with her team to cross-check and verify the categorization to contribute to the identification of key factors that influence workplace mental health and recommend strategies for companies or organizations to enhance employee well-being. Soobin continues her studies in Mental Health Counseling and leverages her research skills to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application in her field.
