Noor Ali

Noor Ali is a second-year MA student in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, with a concentration in Global Mental Health and Research Methods. As part of the Global Practica, she supports the Pakistan country team in developing the Urdu version of the Flexible Interview for the ICD-11 (FLII-11), a mental health assessment tool. She is also contributing to the development of a framework and social cohesion and connectedness tool centered around social health and wellbeing. Noor is interested in culturally sensitive mental health assessment and international collaboration. She previously worked at the Teachers College Institutional Review Board (IRB), where she assisted in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to institutional research compliance. Currently, Noor serves as a project coordinator at the Muslim Perinatal Lab, where she leads the quantitative team in collecting and analyzing survey data on the perinatal experiences of Muslim communities. Through her work with global research teams and communities, she hopes to contribute to the development of more inclusive, context-responsive mental health frameworks and interventions.
