During her time as a practicum student and a research assistant, Milli worked on researching and creating measures related to climate-change vulnerability and migration intentions for use with the FLII-11. She was particularly interested in identifying the mental health impacts of climate change on vulnerable subgroups, especially among populations displaced by the effects of climate change.
She also assisted with projects on developing best practices for cross-cultural adaptations of mental health surveys, programming for ICD-11 field studies in Qualtrics, and participating in FLII-11 working group meetings to help support the survey’s implementation. After graduating from Columbia’s MPH program with a certificate in population mental health, she moved into a new role as a project manager with the Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health. She is excited to continue developing measures that can help inform more equitable prevention efforts, resource allocation, and policy decisions.
