Michael Prado is a second-year student at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Michael’s work during the Global Practica focused on assisting Dr. Pike in establishing guidelines for oral healthcare professionals to help treat patients who suffer from an eating disorders. Dentists and oral hygienists are at a unique position to recognize the early signs of an eating disorder. With this in mind, Michael aided in the editing of a paper entitled: “Oral Health Symptoms and Eating Disorders: A Systematic Review.”
