Erick Garza is an incoming second year medical student at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His work with Dr. Reed during the Summer Global Practica focused on investigating resilience scales, reviewing and editing qualitative and quantitative surveys, and compiling a scoping review of the mental health of Central American migrants who are in-transit through Mexico with the aim of entering the US.
